He’s on an unexpected break after filming for The Batman was halted by the coronavirus pandemic.

And Robert Pattinson cut a casual figure as he enjoyed a jog through the park in the sunshine on Thursday.

The actor, 33, was listening to music as he briefly stopped on the path to stretch out his legs before continuing with his exercise session.

Robert opted for a laid back ensemble as he opted for a run during the warm weather, teaming a simple grey t-shirt with matching shorts.

The former Twilight star shielded his eyes from the sun with reflective glasses and a baseball cap.

Robert’s outing comes after filming for The Batman solo movie was brought to a halt by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A majority of the Hollywood movies in production have been put on hold, with much of the UK and parts of the US currently in lockdown.

Due to the delay, The Batman’s release date has also been pushed back, with it now scheduled to hit screens on 1 October 2021.

Late last month director Matt Reeves confirmed production on The Batman was being put on hiatus for the foreseeable future.

The project halted production on March 14 after completing nearly seven weeks of filming in London. 

Warner Bros originally said it was taking a ‘two-week hiatus’ due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Matt has now also confirmed that production has been paused for the time being.

‘Yes, we have shut down till it is safe for us all to resume,’ he stated in a tweet, before  confirming that the cast and crew were all ‘safe for the moment.’

The Batman is set to feature the caped crusade at a younger age and will be reboot on the tale told with Ben Affleck in the titular role.

Zoe Kravitz will appear as Catwoman, while Andy Serkis will play Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred Pennyworth.

Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, and Jeffrey Wright round out the star-studded cast. 

Robert is also set to appear in action thriller Tenet directed by Christopher Nolan, which is currently set for release on 17 July, but this remains in the air due to the lockdown.
