She had been roundly mocked for some of her bizarre suggestions on how women can spice up their love life.
But Gwyneth Paltrow clearly believes ridicule is nothing to be scared of.
She has published an article on her Goop website containing advice for the perfect ‘date night’ during lockdown – and it will cost you a mere £3,000.
The tips are the same whether you are on a video date or enjoying a romantic night with your partner to make the most of being stuck at home together.
But Miss Paltrow, 47, seems oblivious to the hardships many are facing during the coronavirus crisis.

Written by her communications chief at Goop, the article recommends 17 items essential for the date night – all handily available from the US wellness website at a total cost of around £2,992, without food and drink.
The cheapest item on the list is a $24 (£20) mascara, part of the initial set of tips to get a reader looking her best that includes £21 skin gel and a £22 lipstick. For the hair, only a £200 Harry Josh dryer will do, then it is time to slip on a £725 Kemala silk dress by Ulla Johnson.

The author of the piece, Noora Raj Brown, sets the tone with her inspiration for the article. ‘We were supposed to be in Mexico City with friends this weekend,’ she gushes. ‘As I was silently lamenting the loss of Contramar chef Gabriela Camara’s red-and-green grilled snapper, I decided Ryan [her husband] and I needed a festive moment to get our minds off… well, everything.’
