Mike and Zara Tindall’s children heard playing outside

Zara and Mike Tindall have revealed a glimpse into their stunning home on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate as they lockdown at the property amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Queen’s granddaughter, 38, and her rugby ace husband, 41, moved onto the 700 acre estate in Gloucestershire in 2013.

The estate plays home to several members of the royal family, including Zara’s brother Peter Phillips, 42, his former partner Autumn, 41, and their children Savannah, 9, and Isla, 8, who live at Aston Farm, and Princess Anne, 69, who lives in the main manor house.

Over the last few weeks, Zara and Mike have taken to social media to share a sneak peek into their home, revealing a trendy earthy green colour scheme, rustic beams and an enormous back garden.

Mike Tindall, 41, shared a glimpse inside the grounds of the home he shares with wife Zara, 38, yesterday on Instagram as he shared a charity challenge video online

Yesterday, Mike posted a short video on his Instagram story revealing a huge lawn while Mia, 4, and Lena, 1, played in the background with their cousins Isla and Savannah.

Mike shared a glimpse at an enormous garden on the estate while taking part in the 26 ball tap challenge yesterday to raise money for the Ruth Strauss Foundation, which raises money to fight against lung cancer.

He posted a video on his Instagram page while Mia and Lena could be heard running around playing, with one of the children shouting: ‘Come on Isla.’

It’s not the first time that Mike has offered a sneak peek inside the couple’s cosy farmhouse style home.

The rugby ace has also shared a series of videos as he broadcasts from his home for a rugby podcast, giving viewers a glimpse inside his study

Last week, the rugby ace shared snaps revealing a glimpse at his family home as he and Zara undertook the £5 for 5k Run For Heroes challenge on Instagram.

In the photographs, the couple can be seen standing in the grounds of their home, with a rustic-looking farmhouse featuring trendy muted green woodwork in the background.

Meanwhile the former rugby ace has also been sharing snapshots from inside the rustic Gloucestershire home.

Last month Mike posted a video of himself sitting in his home office while participating in a video chat for the latest Joe’s house of Rugby podcast.

The spacious room featured wooden cabinets and shelving displaying a selection of framed photos, including one of the couple’s pet dogs and what appeared to be portraits of their two daughters.

Meanwhile other sentimental objects appeared to also be on display in the room, including a selection of golf balls,  as well as what appear to be several medal cases.

On another occasion, Mike shared a cosy corner of his home as he snuggled down in a large red chair.

In another snap, he revealed the property’s rustic and neutral colour scheme, sharing a corner of their home with cream painted walls, muted green storage and stone flooring.

Meanwhile Zara also revealed a snapshot into the couple’s home during an interview with Good Morning Britain earlier this month.

The royal spoke with presenters from a cream-painted room, with rustic features including stunning wooden beams on display in the background.

The couple also stored a stylish cream kettle and a coffee maker on the side.

Gatcombe is located in the heart of the Cotswolds, and is just a few miles away from Highgrove, Prince Charles’ home in nearby Tetbury.

The Queen bought the Grade II-listed manor house for her only daughter and her then husband Captain Mark Phillips as a wedding present, and the couple moved in 1977 – and raised their two children, Peter and Zara, on the estate.

The main manor house boasts five main bedrooms, four secondary bedrooms, four reception rooms, a library, a billiard room, and a conservatory.

Now both families have remained living on the grounds of the house, with Autumn and Peter Philips remaining at their marital home of Aston Farm despite the fact they split in January.

In June 2018, Stroud District Council granted permission for a two-storey extension to a lodge within the grounds of Gatcombe.

Documents lodged with the council reveal plans to install a kitchen and a bathroom at the lodge, and to replace the existing lean-to conservatory with a new and improved version.

It is not known what the property was used for, but it was designated as a single use dwelling in council documents.
