Maya Hawke stuns in lacy bralette for Nylon shoot, says her parents’ generation ‘really f***ed us’

Her parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, are two beloved A-list actors.

But that didn’t stop Maya Hawke from criticizing their generation for their past actions.

The 21-year-old Stranger Thing star was featured on the digital cover of Nylon magazine’s April 2020 issue as the accompanying photoshoot featured the talented actress in a variety of couture.

She explained:  ‘We’re just so annoyed at our parents’ generation. They had it so easy. They were all just high and driving around in cool, gas-guzzling cars. Destroying our environment … and having no wars, and no plagues and no pandemics.

‘We’re in our 20s, we’re supposed to be having fun, and doing drugs and partying. But instead … We’re going to SoulCycle and trying to outlive our planet. We have a horrible president, and it’s just really irritating. They really f***ed us.’

Regardless of her feelings on the industry as a whole, Maya oozed of glamour in the spread as she donned a Simone Rocha shirt over a lacy Cherry Vintage bralette topping it all off with Chrome Hearts earrings.

Perhaps her most couture look of all was a red, black and white checked Chanel romper as she posed up a storm in a home chock full of vintage furniture. 

In addition to Maya, Ethan and Uma also share an 18-year-old daughter named Levon.

Ethan and second wife Ryan, whom he married in 2009, have children Clementine, 12, and Indiana, nine, together.

Since Stranger Things season four suspended filming in Atlanta back in mid-March, Maya has been quarantining in upstate New York spending time at both the homes of her famous parents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

She opened up about how she was dealing with the crisis as she said: ‘I’m going through the five stages of grief with it.

‘I was angry about it. I was in denial. And then I was bargaining:And now I’m in resignation or whatever. I’m just sort of like, this is my new forever.’
