Cricket legend Shane Warne has rubbed shoulders with many famous faces over the course of his illustrious sporting career.

And on Tuesday, the 50-year-old commentator revealed he once met basketball great Michael Jordan at the Nike headquarters.

Shane posted a rare throwback picture to Instagram, featuring his younger self wearing a very ’90s sweater vest and standing next to the iconic basketballer.

In the photo, Shane appears to have gifted Michael a Sherrin AFL ball as the NBA legend was holding one in his hand.

Michael was wearing a Chicago White Sox T-shirt, suggesting that the photo was taken in 1994 when he briefly retired from basketball to play Minor League Baseball.

This would mean Michael was 31 years old at the time while Shane was 24.

It appears Shane has been watching The Last Dance miniseries on Netflix, which is about Michael’s last season with the Chicago Bulls from 1997 to 1998.

Earlier in the day, Shane posted a video of himself doing the 26 ball tap challenge for the Ruth Strauss Foundation, which funds research for rare lung cancers.

The former cricketer then proceeded to bounce the ball 26 times on his racquet.

Shane nominated British businessman Ric Lewis, Irish billionaire heir Ross Desmond and Ukrainian former footballer Andriy Shevchenko to also do the challenge.
