David Nail and wife Catherine are expecting ‘another miracle’ after an unsuccessful IVF last summer

David Nail and his wife Catherine have announced they are expecting a baby girl this fall, after an unsuccessful IVF attempt last year. 

The Night’s on Fire hitmaker, 40, and his other half opened up about their fertility struggles and finally making their four-year-old twins older siblings. 

‘After an unsuccessful IVF attempt last summer, we tried again this past winter, and were elevated to experience another miracle,’ the Grammy nominee told People. 

‘We tried so long to have kids before we were blessed with the twins,’ he said of their son  Lawson Brent and daughter Lillian Catherine, whom were also conceived through in vitro fertilization.

The process was difficult for the pair and the David Nail & The Well Ravens frontman revealed feeling ‘everything was stacked against’ them after multiple procedures. 

‘[Catherine] had dreams to be a mother, and would always tell me that’s what she was born to do,’ the singer told the outlet in 2015. ‘So in whatever way I was [contributing to that not] happening was beyond frustrating.’ 

The pair first revealed they were expecting a baby girl with a subtle Instagram caption of their four-year-old twins dancing in the living room.

‘I hope he looks at his little sister like he looks at his twin sister…’ the country crooner wrote under a picture of his youngsters playing and holding hands. 

The lovebirds exciting news was met with a flood of comments sending the soon-to-be family of five well wishes and congratulations.  

The happy couple, who have been married since 2009, quickly fell in love after meeting at a bar called Tin Roof, when she caught his eye in a green dress. 

‘I think anytime you meet somebody and you fall in love and get married, you think, “I’ve obviously seen every side to this person, and that’s why I’m wanting to spend the rest of my life with them,”‘ he told CMT. ‘But I learned something about her halfway through our marriage that was extremely inspiring, and it motivated me to want to be better and want to get better.’ 

Nail has also credited her for being a ‘fighter’ and his rock through his ongoing battle with depression.
