Larry Emdur shares his ‘guilt-free carb-free’ potato recipe to help YOU stay healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic

Morning Show host Larry Emdur is not known for his cooking skills. 

But on Sunday, the 55-year-old treated his 140,000 followers to a ‘guilt-free potato’ recipe in a hilarious video posted to Instagram. 

‘If like me, you’re chunking it on a bit during isolation, never fear! I have a guilt-free, carb-free potato recipe,’ Larry began the clip.

‘Take the potatoes, put them in foil, put them in the fire,’ Larry continued.  

‘Drink just enough wine to forget that they are in that fire, go back the next morning and voila! Guilt free, carb free potato.’ 

Larry then unwrapped the foil from a potato, revealing that the potatoes were actually burnt to a crisp and were easily crushed in his hand.

‘Look at that, look at that! Healthy as! Perfect right? I know, right?’ Larry chuckled. 

In his caption, the TV personality used the hashtag ‘My Kitchen Sux’ jokingly referencing My Kitchen Rules. 

On Saturday night, Larry posted a picture of a fire he burnt the potatoes in and a cheeseboard he and his wife enjoyed while in lockdown. 

‘Tonight’s big argument: Exactly how close can you put a makeshift cardboard-box-coffee-table to the fire?’ he captioned the post.

Larry currently co-hosts The Morning Show with Kylie Gillies but like other Sydneysiders, is limited to his home unless it is for work, exercise or shopping.  

The strict lockdown measures are in place to stop the spread of coronavirus. 

As of Sunday night, there have been 6,612 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia, which have resulted in 71 deaths.
