Delta Goodrem covers her surgical mask with a bandana as she steps out with boyfriend Matthew Copley

Delta Goodrem is determined to look stylish during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

And on Sunday, the songstress, 35, transformed her surgical mask into a trendy statement piece as she stepped out in Sydney’s affluent eastern suburbs with her boyfriend Matthew Copley. 

Rather than exposing her mask’s unsightly exterior to the public, Delta layered a paisley-print bandana over the bottom portion of her face. 

Taking no chances against the deadly coronavirus – nor risking a fashion faux pas – Delta also shielded her eyes with a pair of designer sunglasses. 

The Born To Try singer completed her look with a simple black hoodie, matching black jeans, a pair of white sneakers and a gold watch. 

She tied her hair up into a loose ponytail and carried her belongings in a cross-body leather handbag. 

Meanwhile, Matthew wore a white T-shirt, black jeans, white sneakers and a gold watch. 

He also chose to go without a mask – giving onlookers an uninhibited view of his  chiselled jawline. 

Earlier that morning, Delta performed live from her Sydney home on Lady Gaga’s Global Citizen One World: Together at Home COVID-19 relief concert.  

Delta performed her 2006 hit, Together We Are One, alongside Matthew on guitar.  

Following her performance, Delta shared some poignant words.  

She said: ‘All around the world I want to send our love from Australia. To all our friends out there, be safe. Lets do all the prevention and everything we’ve been told. 

‘Lets all do this together, we’re a team. Together we are one.’
