Sharon Osbourne has defended plastic surgery and said there’s ‘nothing wrong’ with going under the knife if you’re unhappy with your appearance.

The former X Factor judge, 67, recently underwent a ‘painful’ fourth facelift and has had several procedures over the past 20 years.

Sharon told Watch magazine: ‘People ask me about plastic surgery, and you know what?

‘If you’re not happy with the way you look and you have the money, change it! What’s the big deal?

‘As long as you don’t look like you sucked on something to make your lips big, there’s nothing wrong with it.’

Sharon has spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on plastic surgery and lost more than 100lb in 1999 after a gastric bypass.

She previously revealed she spent $120,000 (£91,700) on a facelift, tummy tuck, eye lift, abdominoplasty, liposuction and Botox as well at the time.

Sharon admitted in 2007 that she had spent approximately £300,000 – which at the time equated to about $530,000 on cosmetic surgeries and enhancements.

Yet the star said about husband Ozzy that ‘every wrinkle’ tells a ‘story’ on his face.

It comes after Sharon claimed music mogul Simon Cowell refused to have her back as a judge on The X Factor because she was ‘too old’.

Speaking during her Honest AF Show podcast, Sharon said that she believes Simon ‘doesn’t like overweight people’ and has very ‘dated’ opinions.

She also claimed the he didn’t champion Jennifer Hudson during her time on American Idol because of her curvier physique.

She said: ‘Simon doesn’t have an ability to see individuals. He doesn’t like people who are overweight. Seriously.

‘That’s why he turned down Jennifer Hudson, that’s why he wouldn’t champion her on American Idol. But it’s the truth. He’s very dated (in his views).’

But sources told MailOnline that her claims were untrue. The source said: ‘This is just not what Simon is like. He treats every individual person equally.

‘Instead, it feels like Sharon is just turning into a bit of a shock jock these days like her friend Howard Stern.’

Despite Sharon’s claim that Simon was against overweight people, she herself branded him a ‘f***ing fat face’ on Howard Stern’s US radio show in 2018, prior to Simon’s drastic weight loss.

Despite sources hitting back at Sharon’s claims about Jennifer, the Dreamgirls Oscar-winner has previously said: ‘Simon told me I was “too big” in every way. I think he meant my hair, my voice, my personality, my songs.

‘I didn’t really understand how that was a negative thing. I said, “Is big not what a star is?”‘

It seemed that Sharon and Simon had called truce on their feud last year, when Simon told the Mirror he would never criticise her for being ‘too mouthy’.

Simon claimed he would never criticise the TV personality for her loud nature when that was why he had hired her as a judge to begin with.

Simon told the publication: ‘I phoned her up the other day and said “Look, I’ll be honest with you. How could I criticise you for being mouthy when it’s the reason I hired you in the first place?!”

‘Sharon gets a bit carried away but deep down she’s got real affection for the shows.’

Adding that he’d happily welcome her back if she wanted, Simon said he would jump ‘on a plane in five seconds and she’d do the same’.

He continued: ‘There’s absolutely no bad blood at all and like I said, when people think I’m annoyed with her, I’m not! She’s a good friend and always will be.’
