They fell in love on TV 14 years ago on the 2006 series of Celebrity Big Brother and married the same year before ultimately divorcing after just ten months.
Now Chantelle Houghton, 36, has revealed she has thought about having kids with ex Samuel Preston, 38.
In an interview with Daily Star, the mum-of-one was asked if she has ever thought about having children with The Ordinary Boys singer to which she replied ‘definitely.’

She divulged: ‘I’ve sometimes thought about it. If we’d stayed together then yeah, definitely.’
Chantelle is now mum to seven-year-old Dolly with ex Alex Reid.
However, she told the publication that she thinks Preston would be ‘an amazing dad.’
She said: ‘I think he’ll be an amazing dad. He’ll be so much fun, so caring, so kind. He’ll make a fantastic father!’

Despite their whirlwind romance not working out, the Essex born beauty admitted: ‘There will always be something special with me and him.’
Last month, the couple reunited for a photoshoot with new! magazine, giving readers a sense of nostalgia for the reality TV couple.
Chantelle told her ex husband: ‘I just think for me there will always be something. I will always love you.’

Preston insisted the glare of the media spotlight affected them both and he’s grateful to have Chantelle in his life who understands.
‘Going through what we went through, we have a post-traumatic stress,’ added Preston, ‘it’s not an exaggeration to say that it was so intense all the media coverage at the time that it does feel like there are very few people who understand what the real pressures of that are.’
‘It’s nice to talk to somebody that you’ve known for a long time and shared something special with previously, he’d be completely honest with me,’ agreed Chantelle.

While they are close friends both insisted there’s no chance they will get back together. ‘I think it would ruin a really important relationship as it stands,’ Preston said as Chantelle said that she ‘can’t be with someone now if they didn’t like me being friends with Preston’.
Preston previously revealed he and his model ex were in regular contact following her split with ex-fiance Alex Reid while speaking to new! magazine in 2015.
Revealing that while the pair last saw each other ‘years ago’, they kept in contact with one another via the phone.
Explaining their catch-ups, he said: ‘We phone [each other] up and have a little gossip now and again. We haven’t for a few months, though.’

Preston meanwhile was last linked to girlfriend Emily Smith, who rushed to be by his side in 2017 when he was hospitalised after falling from a second-floor balcony while drunk on holiday in Denmark.
The star admitted he was ‘careless’ and ‘drank too much’ when he plummeted to the floor – breaking his leg in four places, shattering his pelvis and puncturing his lung and girlfriend Emily has to ‘spoon-feed’ him in hospital.
Detailing the extent of his horrific injuries, the singer vowed to ‘go sober’ for the next 30 years after the traumatising drunken fall.
