The Block’s Scott Cam, 57, shares barbecue demo from isolation – but his biceps steal the show

‘Looking ripped mate!’ The Block’s Scott Cam, 57, demonstrates how to BBQ a spatchcock from isolation – but his crazy bulging biceps steal the show

The Block host Scott Cam has branched out from offering his usual renovation and building tips to offer some at-home barbecuing advice.

In self-isolation after production on the show’s 16th season was suspended due to coronavirus fears, Scott looked proud to show off his BBQ spatchcock to fans.

However, his biceps stole the show in the short cooking demo, with one fan writing: ‘Scotty you are looking ripped mate!’

Standing next to the barbecue in a singlet, Scott’s muscular arms were on full display as he discussed what he was cooking for dinner for his family.

‘Something different tonight….spatchcock for dinner,’ he captioned the video, as he showed the small birds being grilled.

In the past, when Scott has posed in singlets, fans have commented on how ‘fit’, ‘healthy’, and ‘buff’ the Gold Logie looks out of his high-vis or tradesman shirts on The Block.

In 2017, Scott revealed that filming the successful renovation program takes a toll on his health and well-being.

With The Block filmed in Melbourne, Sydney-based Scott told TV Week at the time that he’s often away from his family for months at a time.

He also confessed that he often lets his exercise routine and diet slip while living alone in Melbourne without his wife of 26 years, Ann.

‘When I get back to Sydney, I get back into regular fitness and some healthy food’, he stated, before adding: ‘Ann looks after me.’

Last month, Scott revealed The Block chose to close production on the current 2020 season and send all cast, crew and tradespeople home due to COVID-19 concerns.

Scott, who co-hosts the show with Shelley Craft, also expressed his sympathy for the millions of Australians who have lost their jobs during the crisis.

‘It’s a terrible time. I’m thinking of you all and hopefully that Aussie spirit can prevail and we can get through this and come out the other side,’ he said.
