It remains to be seen whether Georgie will survive her latest mission, after actress Michelle confirmed that this would be her final series of Our Girl.

It is believed she wants to pursue new acting jobs and plans to spend more time at home in the UK after her husband Mark Wright, also 32, moved back from Los Angeles last year, where he was working on US TV.

She had previously spent several months each year filming in far-flung locations including South Africa, Nepal and Malaysia.

The star has also teased that she’ll never say never about returning to Our Girl.

‘You can never say it’s forever, I just can’t,’ said Michelle during a Q&A heard by the Evening Standard.

‘It’s really tough. I’ve done four series, and I just want to explore other opportunities, that’s it. I love the show so much. This show has helped me grow to how I am now.

‘These four years have made me grow more than any other show in my life. This isn’t typical for me.’
