Michael Clarke takes a stroll with his daughter after splitting from Pip Edwards

Michael Clarke has been spotted in public for the first time since his split from activewear designer Pip Edwards last week.

The retired Australian cricket captain, 39, took a stroll through Sydney’s affluent suburb of Rose Bay on Monday with his four-year-old daughter, Kelsey Lee, who was riding along on a scooter.

Michael, who broke up with Pip because he didn’t like the media attention that came with their relationship, kept a low profile while spending time with Kelsey Lee.

He attempted to fly under the radar in a black cap and sunglasses, and his outfit consisted of an Asics T-shirt, shorts and sneakers.

He carried his belongings in a backpack, but chose to hold his phone in his hand in case any business needed attending to.

Meanwhile, Kelsey Lee looked like a living doll in her printed jumper, striped leggings and pink sneakers.

Michael kept a close eye on his daughter to make sure she didn’t collide with anyone on the sidewalk.

Several hours before the sighting, Michael had uploaded a very intriguing post to his Instagram Story about wanting to be ‘home’.

Michael, who is self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic in the Vaucluse property he once shared with his estranged wife, Kyly, shared a photo of his backyard pool alongside the caption: ‘Home is where I want to be.’

Given the context of his recent split from Pip, Michael may have been hinting at a possible reunion with Kyly.

Rumours first emerged that Michael was dating Pip in February, shortly after the former batsman announced his separation from Kyly after seven years of marriage.

The Clarkes ended things in September, but didn’t announce their break-up until five months later.

When news of a blossoming relationship surfaced, Michael and Pip both denied they were are anything more than friends.

They told Daily Mail Australia in February they had been friends for 12 years and were simply working on a project together.

Michael’s personal assistant, Sasha Armstrong, also downplayed the rumours, which had been circulating across Sydney’s eastern suburbs for months.

End of the road: It comes after Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed Michael and Pip's break-up. The retired cricketer ended things because 'he didn't like the media attention' that came with being linked to the 40-year-old P.E. Nation founder (pictured)

While they never publicly acknowledged they were a couple, Pip and Michael had indeed dated for several months after his split from Kyly.

But things ended swiftly when Michael decided he couldn’t handle the publicity that came with dating the glamorous P.E Nation founder.

He had ended his engagement to Lara Bingle in 2010 in similar circumstances.
