Adam Sandler stays fit amid coronavirus lockdown by performing pushups in his driveway in Malibu

Adam Sandler, 53, tries his best to stay fit amid coronavirus lockdown by performing pushups in the driveway of his Malibu mansion

While some celebrities have paid top dollar to have gyms opened privately just for them during this time of at-home isolation, this bankable Hollywood star is using his driveway as a gymnasium in an effort to stay in shape.

Adam Sandler was seen over the weekend in front of his Malibu, California home, knocking out some push-ups in the driveway so as to keep his muscles limber.

The Waterboy funnyman, 53, donned a baggy red sweatshirt for his Saturday athletic jaunt, paired with blue and white Adidas gym shorts.

The Punch Drunk Love actor also had on a backwards black and red baseball cap, and aviator sunglasses.

The only non-athletic element in his ensemble were his moccasin-style leather slippers.

Adam’s wife, Jackie Titone, reportedly gave her man some words of encouragement as she watched him perform about 100 reps.

The pair, who have been married since 2003, share two daughters: Sunny Madeline, 11, and Sadie, 13.

Sandler has been keeping as busy as can be expected during this period, with ostensibly all projects and productions in Hollywood in a state of standstill as the industry awaits a time when it will again be safe to go to work and be near others.

Last Monday, he appeared remotely as a guest on the Home Edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which he sang a song called ‘Don’t Touch Grandma’ in the spirit of social distancing.

‘Thanks to this stupid virus, there are some new grandma rules,’ the Happy Madison star crooned during the song.

Jimmy then joined in as the pair sang, ‘Don’t touch grandma, leave her alone, you can spend a quarter to call her on the phone.’

One of the song’s more risque lines came later on, when the pair sang, ‘Don’t touch grandma, give her some space, even if your grandma wants to go to second base.’

Of the few projects Sandler currently has in the works, one Netflix production had fortunately completed production before the virus pandemic struck –– Hubie Halloween, a star-studded comedy featuring Sandler along with fellow comedians Maya Rudolph, Rob Schneider, Kenan Thompson and many more.

No official word yet on when the project will be available on Netflix, but it is currently in post-production and will conceivably be ready in time for Halloween.
