Married At First Sight’s Carly Bowyer and boyfriend Neil Goldsmith ‘tense’ in isolation

‘Tensions can be high’: Former Married At First Sight star Carly Bowyer reveals that she and boyfriend of eight months Neil Goldsmith are going through a ‘learning curve’ while in isolation

Carly Bowyer didn’t find love on Married At First Sight in 2018.

However for the past eight months, the 34-year-old has been dating actor  Neil Goldsmith.

But with the coronavirus epidemic, the co-host of Nova’s Finding a Unicorn has admitted the couple are experiencing tensions while locked in together.

Hard: For the past eight months, former Married At First Sight star Carly Bowyer (left) has been dating actor Neil Goldsmith (right). On Sunday, she revealed the coronavirus epidemic is causing the couple to experience tensions while locked in together

She told The Daily Telegraph on Sunday: ‘Coronavirus definitely puts pressure on people in relationships.

‘On one hand, it’s great to have a partner there for support in a really uncertain time and I’m so thankful to have Neil around.

‘But he’s also the only person that I’ve seen for the past few weeks, so of course with that comes its own raft of issues!’

The radio star admitted that: 'Most people aren't used to spending so much time with their partner... living, eating, working, exercising, sleeping and there's nowhere else to go. Tensions can be high... It'll certainly be a learning curve for a lot of couples'

And that can go a little wrong, Carly admitted, saying: ‘Tensions can be high… It’ll certainly be a learning curve for a lot of couples.’

Earlier this year she criticised the show’s experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Dr Trisha Stratford for their poor matchmaking skills, in an interview with The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential.

‘I would say don’t go on a reality show to find love, you’re probably not going to find it. It’s virtually impossible,’ Carly told Confidential.

‘The couples know nothing about each other, they’re [matched] by experts who don’t know them either so it’s pretty bloody unlikely,’ she said.
