Kumail Nanjiani and his wife Emily V. Gordon cast a spooky spell in their horror-themed T-shirts on a stroll in Los Angeles

He talked about fearing for his wife’s safety every time they leave the house due to her compromised immune system.

That didn’t stop Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon from getting some fresh air on Saturday with a stroll through Los Angeles’ Los Feliz neighborhood.

The 42-year-old comedian and the 40-year-old writer both followed coronavirus precautions by wearing cloth masks and rocked a playfully dark vibe with their T-shirts.

Spooky sight: Kumail Nanjiani, 42, and his wife Emily V. Gordon, 40, rocked spooky horror-themed T-shirts and covered up in masks for a stroll in LA’s Los Feliz neighborhood

Kumail had on a black T-shirt that highlighted his impressive biceps and featured a faded Ghostbusters logo.

He also wore dark jeans with black Adidas sneakers and a black baseball cap.

Emily also opted for a dark color scheme with a black Psycho T-shirt that had a still of Vince Vaughn from the controversial 1998 color remake of the horror classic.

She completed her ensemble with black sweatpants and a maroon sweater tied around her waist, and she wore her brunette locks in a ponytail.

Safety first: Technically, the two didn't need masks just for a walk, but they were being extra cautious because Emily is immunocompromised

Both observed a new order for Los Angeles that citizens wear cloth face coverings when going to essential businesses, though technically the order would allow them to go mask-free on a solitary walk.

They weren’t taking any chances though, and Kumail also sported a travel-size bottle of hand sanitizer hooked to his belt loop.

The couple have been keeping busy while practicing social distancing at home by starting a new podcast, Staying In.

The Silicon Valley star and the Big Sick co-writer didn’t hide their hopes that the show will be short-lived, though they’re donating all funds from it to various charities addressing the coronavirus pandemic.

In their debut episode, titled Fumbling For Normalcy, the usually hilarious Kumail was overcome with emotion when he described the fear he feels whenever Emily has to leave the house on her own.

Emily’s immunocompromised status dates back to the events that inspired the couple’s popular romantic comedy The Big Sick.

A few months after they began dating, Emily wound up in the hospital with a severe lung infection that was later diagnosed as adult-onset Still’s disease, a rare autoinflammatory condition.

She had to be put into a medically induced coma to limit the damage. Kumail revealed in a New Yorker profile that he canceled a string of dates opening for Zach Galifianakis in order to be at her bedside.

She eventually woke from her coma, and three months later the couple married.

Kumail and Emily then collaborated on a screenplay about their ordeal for what became The Big Sick, in which Kumail played himself and Zoe Kazan stood in for Emily.

The couple were nominated for the Best Original Screenplay Oscar and the film was a critical and commercial success that earned $56 million dollars against a $5 million budget.

Tragedy plus time: She recovered and they married three months later. Kumail and Emily later co-wrote the Oscar-nominated The Big Sick, which starred the comedian and Zoe Kazan
