Stacey Solomon strips down to a bikini as she throws early first birthday bash for son Rex

He is the apple of the Solomon-Swash clan’s eye. 

So Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s beloved son Rex was naturally getting an amazing party for his first birthday on Thursday – despite the bash coming over a month before his actual birthday. 

While the big day is not until May 23, the showbiz couple admitted they were moving the festivities forward as they couldn’t resist getting the bumper paddling pool out while the sun was shining and they were in lockdown. 

Stacey slipped into a white bikini for the occasion and took to Instagram on Thursday to share a clip of the preparations as herself and Joe blew up a tropical animal themed paddling pool.

The Loose Women star wrote atop of the video: ‘So this was going to be for Rex’s first birthday but last night me and Joe were saying it might not be sunny on his birthday and the weather has been so nice. He won’t notice if he gets it 6 weeks early, so here we go’. 

Stacey proudly showed off the pool, complete with hippo, flamingo and monkey, after they had inflated it as she waited for Rex to wake up from his afternoon nap. 

And the television personality was every inch the proud mum as she watched her son splash around in the pool and stare in amusement at the inflatable animals. 

It wasn’t long until Stacey changed into a white bikini and got in the pool herself. 

She wrote: ‘I caved, had to get in with him’. 

After drying Rex off, she then made a fruity peacock with grapes, avocado and sweet potato legs. 

Sharing some more photos of the day, she wrote: ‘I hope you stay this interested in our conversations forever pickle. We decided to get the paddling pool out today (we were going to wait until Rex’s birthday next month but knowing our luck it would snow)

‘He climbed in and out of it all day other than when he was sleeping. He makes us laugh so much. I really could sit and chat to him all day… he doesn’t say much back yet but as silly as this sounds I feel like he can understand me like we can have a laugh together, because somewhere, deep down he knows what I’m saying 

‘Anyway I’ll stop talking like a weirdo before someone reports me. I hope you’re all ok today…Thinking always of all of those unable to be locked down at home with their families because they’re fighting for us to survive. 

‘You’ll never know how grateful we are to have you in the world. Thank g-d for you. Our Hero’s. we will be clapping tonight and always.’

The previous night, Stacey was sure to give her 3.1million followers a giggle as she shared a hilarious video, in which she attempted to pour her beloved Diet Coke into her mouth while lying down. 

Seemingly in the grasps of quarantine boredom, Stacey then undertook yet another organisation project as she rearranged her shoe rack and shared clips with her eternally-giggling baby son. 

Stacey has garnered a vast social media following of late, thanks to her hilarious antics and incessant organisation tips and tricks. 

Followers of the star will be well aware of her evening treat – a Diet Coke in a champagne flute as well as her love of a Daim Bar. 

She was feeling playful once again on Wednesday as she fruitlessly – and then successfully – attempted to pour the drink in her mouth while lying down. 

In her first attempt she was left with Coke dribbling down her chin before sharing another post and writing: ‘Chin chin… if this isolation has taught me one thing it’s how to drink laying down’.
