Emma Hawkins reveals a friend said she ‘must be amazing in the sack’ to date AFL player Tom

Footy WAG Emma Hawkins reveals the shocking text a friend sent her by mistake saying she ‘must be amazing in the sack’ to date an AFL player

As a public figure, footy WAG Emma Hawkins is used to dealing with anonymous online trolls.

But after receiving an insulting text message sent by mistake from one of her own friends, the wife of AFL star Tom Hawkins was understandably left shocked.

‘They were meant to send it to their friend and they accidentally sent it to me,’ Emma, 31, said during last week’s episode of The Lady Bunch with Rozalia Russian, Rebecca Harding and Elliot Garnaut

‘And [the message] was like, “Oh my gosh, she must be amazing in the sack or else how else would she get Tom?”‘ the mother-of-two said.

Emma, who has been married to the Geelong Cats player for four years, didn’t let the text message upset her.

‘I wrote back going, “The weirdest thing is, I’m pretty sure I’m terrible in the sack!”‘ she added, as Rozalia, Rebecca and Elliot burst into laughter.

It comes after Emma spoke about the body-shaming she experienced after welcoming her second daughter in March 2019.

She told Stellar magazine last year that she wasn’t bothered by criticism of her figure for the most part.

‘When I’m being trolled or someone comments on my weight – if they say that on a day I’m feeling good, it’s water off a duck’s back,’ she said.

‘But if they say that on a day when I’ve had no sleep and I’m feeling crap, then it will hit me where it hurts.’
