Tom Brady has revealed that he and wife Gisele Bundchen had relationship problems toward the end of his career with the New England Patriots so he ended up skipping team activities.

The 42-year-old Super Bowl champion appeared on the Howard Stern Show on Tuesday morning as he made the bombshell revelation about his marriage with the 39-year-old Brazilian supermodel.

He said that Gisele ‘wasn’t satisfied with our marriage’ so he ended up skipping Organized Team Activities (OTAs) in order to resolve the issues.

Brady revealed that Gisele was not happy with how much attention he was giving football and his business deals while she was left taking care of the children and the home explained:  ‘She didn’t feel I was doing my part for the family.

‘She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house and all the sudden when the season would end, I would be like, “Great, let me get into all my other business activities. Let me get into my football training.”‘

‘And she’s sitting there going, “Well, when are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school and do that?” And that was a big part of our marriage. I had to, like, check myself. Because she’s like, “I have goals and dreams too.”‘

The tensions kept mounting as it all reached this tipping point where Gisele wrote him a letter explaining what she saw as the flaws in their relationship and they ended up going to therapy.

Brady ended up skipping Patriots OTAs and was adamant that the issues have been cleared up between the power couple.

Things to be going well between Tom and Gisele as they celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary back in February.

The couple wed in Santa Monica, California on February 26, 2009 with a second ceremony in Costa Rica after they began dating in 2006. They have since welcomed two children into the world: 10-year-old Benjamin and Vivian Lake, aged seven. 

The quarterback also has a 12-year-old son with actress Bridget Moynahan named John Edward Thomas Moynahan. 

The three-time NFL MVP ended up leaving the New England Patriots after 20 seasons there as he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on March 2020.

He is already arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time as he led the team to six Super Bowl Championships (including four Super Bowl MVPs) and 14 Pro Bowl selections. 

At the start of the 2020 season, he will be the oldest player in the NFL.
