‘I don’t think they would’ve broken up’: Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power claims Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli’s apparent ‘split’ is for ‘media attention’
Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli appeared to have split up on Monday night, after their private text conversation was leaked on their Instagram accounts.
But their former Married At First Sight co-star Jessika Power has suggested the cryptic break-up posts are just for ‘media attention’.
The 27-year-old shared her thoughts about the texts during an Instagram Q&A ON Tuesday.

‘I really don’t think they would have broken up,’ Jessika said.
She went on to explain: ‘I think it’s probably another little thing for media attention, maybe, or whatever else.’
Before moving on to the next question, Jessika teased her curious fans by adding: ‘Unless?’

In the texts shared on Monday night, Michael, 28, asked his girlfriend if she was ‘joking’ when she said she was fed up, and told her she was being too dramatic, but Martha ranted on.
The 31-year-old makeup artist replied: ‘You know I don’t play Michael, I don’t have time for this. I’m so busy, I have work to do. I need better support, I want a better connection! I just need more everything’.
When former teacher Michael asked Martha what had changed, she complained: ‘We have had hassles every single day and it’s just an unnecessary burden on me.

‘Like I’m sooo busy, I’ve got so much work to do. I don’t feel supported. Like ever. Sometimes there is like, no connection, like, at all. I can’t do mediocre, I want the best! I’m so fkn done! I’m upgrading.’
Michael shared his part of the text exchange on Instagram, captioning the set of screenshots: ‘I’m not about to go into a back and forth, but honestly this is so dramatic…’
In an Instagram Stories video, also shared Monday night, Martha lay alone in bed and told her fans: ‘I have the whole bed to myself which I am really excited about.
‘Since we have been spending so much time at home, and we can’t leave, so much s**t has come my attention. Things I just didn’t know were happening and I am so frustrated. I am so over it.
Heartbreak? While the texts and video appear to be about a relationship split, many fans guessed Martha may just be talking about the quality of her internet connection. As a result, many have concluded that the whole saga is just a sponsored content deal with an Internet service provider
‘You think you sign up for one thing and you get another. I am so done. I am too old for this. I know there is better out there and I know I deserve better,’ she said.
While the texts and video appear to be about a break-up, fans are convinced they were just talking about the quality of their Internet connection.
As a result, many have concluded that the whole saga is just a sponsored content deal with an Internet service provider.
Martha and Michael met on the sixth season of Married At First Sight and recently to Sydney’s Bondi together.
