Kristin Cavallari FINALLY returns to Nashville after being ‘stuck’ in Bahamas amid COVID-19 crisis

Kristin Cavallari and her family have finally returned to the US after being called out by fans for her ‘tone deaf’ posts while holidaying in the Bahamas amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

The Hills star, 33, and her husband Jay Cutler, 36, have repeatedly come under fire over the last 22 days as they shared idyllic photos from their luxury getaway – despite being urged to return home by her followers and the Bahamas NOT restricting travel off the island.

A viral Twitter thread compiled by TV writer Claire Downs shows how Kristin and the NFL star, who were accompanied by her hair stylist Justin Anderson, seemingly flouted guidance from the World Health Organization.

During their three-week break, the Bahamas imposed a curfew, closed essential businesses and banned incoming visitors.

The controversial quarantine in paradise is now over since Justin has updated his followers they’ve ‘made it home’.

He shared some videos of himself drinking rosé as he jokes they’re ‘magicians’ for getting off the island – while a news report about the escalating toll of the COVID-19 virus plays in the background.

On March 15, Kristin first sparked outrage when she uploaded a bikini picture of herself in paradise with Austin – two days after a national emergency was declared in the US.

The reality star’s followers were furious, hitting back at her ‘insensitive posts’.

‘GO HOME. FLATTEN THE CURVE. Privileged millionaire germs are still germs’, one posted. ‘Seriously? You know what’s happening in the world?’, another commented.

Austin took to his own account, sharing the same image alongside a caption saying they were ‘social distancing’ just like everyone else.

The same day Justin uploaded a snap of himself living it up on the beach with Kristin, her husband Jay and his own fiancé Scoot, claiming they were ‘stuck on an empty island and forced to quarantine’.

He wrote: ‘being stuck on an empty island and forced to quarantine could be worse. thankful for my wolf pack during these scary times.

‘i am afraid of what we will go home to when they let us back into the states hope you’re all staying safe where ever you happen to be’.

The Bahamas had yet to restrict travel in and out of the country, however.

A ban on international travel to the Bahamas came into effect on March 24 after the first five cases were reported on the island – but tourists would still have been able to leave the island as outgoing flights were permitted.

The group went quiet for a few days, then on March 26, Kristin caused further outrage among her fans, many of whom declared they were ‘unfollowing’ her, when she began plugging her brands on Instagram.

With urgency, she penned: ‘*PLEASE READ** I’ve spent years building this family of followers on Instagram and now more than ever I’m having trouble reaching all of you when I need to most.

‘What does she do that she thinks anyone needs to know immediately? The narcissism is amazing. This pandemic has shown how completely out of touch celebrities are’, a third shared.

On March 26, Kristin uploaded another post plugging her fashion companies, explaining that her businesses were also suffering during this financially uncertain period.

‘Thank you to everyone for their continued support during this uncertain time. To show our appreciation, we’re offering 20% off everything at both @uncommonjames and @littlejamesclothing .

‘We’re gonna get through this and come out on the other side stronger. We’re in this together!’

On March 27, Justin shared a picture of the foursome on the beach, drinking beer.

He enthused: ‘i meannnn let’s get real for a second- spending FOURTEEN days not spending time with anyone else is nuts, but we’ve done it. AND i still love each of them. that’s pretty solid.

‘The family that quarantines together, stays together… stay tuned ya filthy animals!’

He also replied to a series of concerned questions from fans, explaining why they were not returning to the US.
