Frustrated viewers took to Twitter to slam the Married At First Sight’s relationship experts after Sunday night’s ‘lackluster’ finale.

In a series of tweets, angry fans expressed outrage over the role, or lack thereof which John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Dr Trisha Stratford played in the 2020 season.

Many were perplexed by the shortage of advice the trio gave to the struggling couples and ‘dud’ pairings.

‘Can we clearly ban the MAFSAU experts from today, they clearly know sweet FA,’ one wrote. 

Another added: ‘I’m a fan, but the lack of successful couples this season might be because the experts actually didn’t offer any expert advice. To me they just wanted to know if they were intimate’.

While another commented that he had little faith the judges could successfully match him next year.

‘Given the track record of these experts, auditioning for MAFS 2021 would really have to be your absolute last resort to find love wouldn’t it?’ he asked.

While another added: ‘Here ends the most lacklustre Married At First Sight in history’.

Sunday night’s episode kicked off with Connie Crayden addressing her confidence issues and journey of self-discovery on the show.

Steve Burley and Mishel Karen rehashed their lack of intimacy, while Aleks Markovic and Ivan Sarakula were accused of faking their romance by their co-stars.

Stacey Hampton offered Hayley Vernon an ‘insincere’ apology over the cheating scandal involving Michael Goonan, according to fans.

While Seb Guilhaus broke down in tears before Elizabeth Sobinoff confessed to falling in love with him.

Since leaving the show, Tash has repeatably called for more diversity to be included within the ‘expert’ panel.

Taking to Instagram last month, Tash insisted that lesbian couples on the show would have more chance of success if they were matched by ‘queer’ experts.

‘Don’t you think lesbians or queer people should have matched the lesbian couple?’ she said while doing a Q&A with fans.

‘I just feel like lesbians would have done a better job matching the lesbians and then both of us would have been happier…’ she added.
