Robbie Williams reveals he suffered coronavirus symptoms while spending three weeks in isolation

Robbie Williams has admitted he believes he had coronavirus symptoms while spending three weeks in isolation away from his wife and children.

The singer, 46, revealed that he felt ‘lethargic, tired and heavy’ while holed up in an Airbnb down the road from his family’s mansion in Los Angeles.

Robbie’s wife Ayda Field, 40, and their three children had been staying at home while the star kept his distance in temporary accommodation.

Robbie also touched on the fact that he has been managing to stay out of ‘dark holes’ by keeping busy and looking after his mental health while in lockdown.

He told The Sun: ‘I was in quarantine in an Airbnb down the road from my family and started worrying about food, about my medication running out, about Beau and my family, and was just very fearful for a couple of days.

‘Then I could feel my body was getting lethargic and tired and heavy and I convinced myself I’d got coronavirus.’

He went on to reveal that he believes his symptoms quickly disappeared, however he still kept his distance from his young family for three weeks before returning home.

The Williams family aren’t short of space in their palatial pad and Robbie admitted he was ‘lucky’, but has still be struggling mentally with isolation.

He said: ‘The mental struggle has been the hardest bit about isolation, making sure we don’t slip into our own dark holes.’

Following their isolation, Robbie was emotionally reunited with wife Ayda and their children last Saturday after three weeks apart.

He sweetly embraced daughter Theodora, seven, and Charlton, five, in the video after running up the driveway to greet them, with Ayda, 40, sharing the heartwarming moment on Instagram.

Running to meet Robbie, he then scooped Teddy up before pulling Charlton in for a hug.

Posting the sweet reunion on Instagram, Ayda explained that Robbie had been placed in a separate quarantine, after he returned from a trip to Australia.

She captioned the post: ‘@robbiewilliams After 3 weeks…REUNITED!!!! So happy to have daddy home after separate quarantines #togetheratlast #quarantinelife #stayhome AWxx.’

Ayda has remained at home in Los Angeles with her and Robbie’s children, Theodora, Charlton, Colette, 18-months, and newborn Beau.

Earlier this month Ayda revealed that Robbie was practising social distancing, after sharing a video of the hitmaker serenading her outside their mansion

Ayda admitted that it was the closest they had been for a while as she filmed Robbie, who had jumped up onto their porch.

The couple then joked that Ayda’s ‘co-dependant mother’ Gwen was trying to get involved in their romantic moment, while Robbie ushered her back inside.

Ayda explained: ‘So we’re just social distancing right now, a lot of people have been asking what social distancing is and I’ve looked it up…

‘And it’s just staying away from bars, restaurants and clubs and your own husband if he’s been to Australia on a plane and in an airport.’

However Robbie then reassured fans: ‘The good news is that I don’t feel too bad, I’ve been told that if you can hold your breath for ten seconds and not cough!’

Although Ayda then agreed to meet Robbie in the garden she insisted that he can’t come through the house.
