Married At First Sight: Aleks Markovic and Ivan Sarakula accused of faking relationship

‘Do you think if I cheated we’d still be sitting here together?’ Married At First Sight’s Aleks Markovic and Ivan Sarakula accused of FAKING their romance by cast – as they split weeks after filming the finale

Married At First Sight’s Aleks Markovic and Ivan Sarakula were accused of faking their relationship by multiple cast members during Sunday’s season finale.

The couple quit the show midway through the experiment and explained to the group how they then reunited privately, with many failing to believe them.

After filming the finale on January 16, they then split weeks later in early February.

As Aleks and Ivan sat down in front of the relationship experts, they first explained how they’d realised they were in love after leaving the show together.

‘We’re in a really good place, but we got very heavily pressured within the walls of this experiment,’ said Ivan, confirming they’re now in an official relationship.

Josh Pihlak was first to voice his doubts, saying: ‘I’m so f**king confused.’

After the group then watched footage back of Aleks and Ivan’s final dinner party, the couple addressed the cheating allegations they faced before quitting the show.

Michael Goonan initially accused Aleks of cheating with a mystery man after she went to a Serbian event, and he stood by his claims during Sunday’s finale.

‘Can I just say something? Do you think if I really cheated on my husband we’d still be sitting here together? Not where we come from, morally,’ Aleks hit back.

‘We definitely had no cheating scandal. I went out with a woman and there was the 50-year-old restaurant owner there. If that’s cheating, you can say that’s cheating.’

Their segment ended with Ivan saying they are now looking to the future.

‘We’ve come here saying we love each other, we’re loyal to each other, we’re working on things and we’re exclusive – who knows what the future holds,’ he declared.

As Mishel Karen rolled her eyes, Amanda Micallef whispered: ‘I think they’re faking it.’

Cathy Evans responded: ‘Oh yeah, same.’

Daily Mail Australia previously reported that weeks after filming the finale on January 16, the couple split up just before Valentine’s Day on February 14.

It is believed it was Ivan’s decision to end their relationship.
