‘Pregnant’ Sophie Turner reads The Tiger Who Came To Tea for her former youth theatre

She became a patron of the playhouse in 2014.

And Sophie Turner read her favourite childhood story for her former Warwick-based youth theatre, Playbox, on Wednesday. 

In a sweet video, shared by the playhouse on its YouTube, the Game of Thrones star, 24, read Judith Kerr’s The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

Sophie looked radiant as she wore black gym leggings with a grey hoodie, she styled her blonde locks into a sweptback hairdo and added a slick of make-up.

Sitting by the swimming pool in the garden of her US home, the star started by saying: ‘Hi everyone, I’m Sophie Turner. I used to go to Playbox, it’s one of my favourite places in the world. 

‘I just want to read you guys one of my favourite childhood stories, which is The Tiger Who Came to Tea. 

‘I don’t even fully remember the story, but I remember why I loved it. The main protagonist was called Sophie, so more of a selfish choice than anything. 

‘I’m going to read it to you, I loved it when I was younger and haven’t read it for years.’ 

After reading the story, Sophie ended the sweet video with: ‘Goodnight everyone at Playbox and all your families. Sending you all my love and keep acting!’

Sophie attended the Playbox Theatre from the age of three and left the playhouse due to her demanding filming schedule on Game of Thrones. 

In 2014, the star was made a patron of the Warwick playhouse, which provides training and programmes for youngsters aged 3-19.

Sophie soared to fame in 2011 for her role as Sansa Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones, a character she played until the show’s end in 2019.  

The star is currently self-isolating with husband Joe Jonas in their US home amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

The couple are said to be expecting their first child together, but have yet to confirm the reports. 

‘The couple is keeping things very hush hush but their friends and family are super excited for them,’ a source told Just Jared in January.
