Married At First Sight: Stacey Hampton leaks bank statement after Michael Goonan gift

Married At First Sight’s Stacey Hampton has sold the $5,500 Louis Vuitton handbag her ex-boyfriend Michael Goonan gifted her during their final date on the show. 

The 26-year-old donated the $3,000 proceeds to On the Line suicide prevention charity on March 28, finally proving she doesn’t need the millionaire’s cash. 

She provided Daily Mail Australia with a screenshot of the funds leaving her bank account on April 1, after being accused of faking the re-sale and donation.

After debuting on MAFS in February, Stacey was branded a ‘gold digger’ by viewers.

She was unfairly edited to only appear interested in now ex-‘husband’ Michael at their wedding after discovering he was a millionaire company director. 

The mum-of-two slammed her portrayal, insisting she is financially secure herself. 

Her generous charity donation after selling the expensive designer handbag finally confirms Stacey really does not need Michael’s money. 

Stacey’s own personal wealth became apparent during her homestay episode, when Michael visited her Adelaide home, where she lives with her two children.

The law graduate drives a $90,000 Range Rover Velar, boasts a $20,000 shoe collection and has more designer handbags than some department stores. 

Many viewers were left wondering how the single mother-of-two could afford such luxuries, with Daily Mail Australia later revealing the heartbreaking reason she can.

It turns out Stacey inherited a significant sum of money from her father and brother’s estates following their tragic deaths several years ago. 

She put the money into a family trust, which she later used to start several business ventures in South Australia.

‘I had my own financial stability [before MAFS] with more than Michael could have provided,’ said Stacey recently, hitting back at claims she’s a ‘gold digger’.
