Kate Ferndinand was left panicking during a live work out with husband Rio on Wednesday when he faked an injury.

The sporty couple were broadcasting to their fans online, doing a home-based work out while cooped up in lockdown.

But Rio, 41, had to stop when he claimed he had pulled a muscle in his groin, during the warm-up.

Oh dear! Kate Ferndinand was left panicking during a live work out with husband Rio on Wednesday when he faked an injury

He staggered over to the sofa to sit down, with Kate claiming he was only larking around.

‘I’m not – I’m serious!’ he insisted as Kate, 28, tried to laugh it off.

After several further attempts to insist he was kidding, Kate finally asked him whether they should carry on, asking him, ‘what do you want me to do?’

He finally admitted the whole thing was an April Fool’s gag.

Kate posted the moment to Instagram afterwards, captioning it: ‘Seriously guys – who tries to April fools someone on a LIVE?

‘APART from that… hope you enjoyed the workout guys!’

The newlyweds have been keeping active during the coronavirus lockdown by sharing impressive workout videos online most days.

They were last seen working up a sweat using bottles of milk and water, after realising that ‘not everyone has a home gym’ following their previous fitness clip.

Uploading the workout to her Instagram on Friday, former TOWIE star Kate and her ex-footballer husband put themselves through their paces as they helped fans keep active amid self-isolation.

The couple, who tied the knot in September last year, playfully introduced the video and explained they’d be using large bottles of milk and water as weights, following their last workout in their luxury home gym.

Kate and Rio then proceeded to go through a number of exercises in the session, including squat thrusters, reverse lunges and front raises – using the fridge items as weights.

The loved-up pair giggled and joked throughout and shared a sweet hug after their workout, with Rio joking at the end of the video that he was the fittest out of the two.

Kate shared a video called: ‘The Ferdinand Home School Day 3 #stayhome family workout,’ followed by exercise emojis.

In the clip, the blonde beauty admitted: ‘It feels like day ten but it’s day three!’

Although former footballer Rio warned: ‘The most important thing is homework later!’ to which Kate quipped: ‘Rio’s a bit strict.’

Rio added: ‘I have to be strict, so they know,’ with Kate admitting: ‘I am stricter. I’m the strict one guys but he’s the louder one.’
