Gregg Wallace, 55, reveals he’s reached his goal weight after losing FOUR stone

Gregg Wallace has reached his goal weight, he revealed on Wednesday.

The Masterchef presenter announced his recent health kick has paid off, and despite his work out regime taking a hit during the coronavirus lockdown, he has shed an incredible four stone.

The TV star, 55, has embarked on a health and fitness overhaul and has now reached his goal weight of just under 12 stone.

Sharing one of his regular videos from his luxury Kent farmhouse, where he is self isolating with his family, Gregg told his fans the good news:

‘Good morning it’s 6am, I’m going to do some exercising,’ he said. ‘I’ve hit my goal weight, I’m now just below 12 stone which means I’ve lost four stone,’ he excitedly revealed.

Gregg vowed to overhaul his health and fitness regime in 2017 and has stayed true to his word, keeping a public record of his body’s change.

The father of three, who used to weigh over 16 stone, was previously a Weight Watchers ambassador, and in 2017 he announced he had given up alcohol and fry ups.

Last month, Gregg shared the secrets behind how he keeps up with his three-stone weight loss – something that’s made harder by working as the co-host of MasterChef.

The host detailed his routine in a chat with Radio Times, explaining that he eats particular food during the day and often skips dinner.

‘I might have a chocolate bar on the go for energy. I always eat breakfast as I’ve just come out of gym and I’m ravenous for protein,’ he said.

‘I have boiled eggs, brown bread with chicken sausages or smoked fish on Ryvita with horseradish. I used to eat dinner after a filming day. Not now.’

Gregg also admitted he doesn’t go to dinner parties any more since he started working on the show – which is in its 16th year.

‘I haven’t been invited to anyone’s for dinner since the show began,’ he said. ‘I like eating with friends in restaurants instead. You all choose what to eat, have a starter, main and dessert, and then you go home.’

He then proceeded to demonstrate the bear crawl move, swiftly moving across the rug in his stunning-looking home and giving the Body Coach Joe Wicks a run for his money.

Gregg is self isolating with his wife Anna, their son Sid, 11 months, his in-laws Massimo and Rina and his daughter Libby, 24, who he shares with ex wife Denise, revealing he’s been cooking every day for his loved ones in between family walks in the beautiful Kent countryside.

Gregg revealed last year that his in-laws live with him and his wife Anne-Marie, 32, joking that the move is insurance against his wife leaving him.

Rina is just four years older than Gregg, with the Mastechef star explaining to The Daily Star newspaper:

‘Anne can’t leave me because mum would have to leave as well. For an insecure old man with a younger woman, that’s good news.’

Gregg and Anne-Marie welcomed their first child together, Sid, in April 2019.

The pair had been trying to conceive for a long while, with Anne-Marie finally falling pregnant shortly before the couple were due to start treatment to help them with the process.

It is Gregg’s third child; he shares Tom, 26, and Libby with his ex-wife Denise.
