Diane Kruger dons face mask and gloves while shopping with Norman Reedus amid LA’s COVID-19 lockdown

Diane Kruger was spotted putting safety first on Tuesday, when she donned a face mask and gloves while stocking up on goods with her beau Norman Reedus.

The German-born actress, 43, kept her protective gear on throughout her visit to a local Bristol Farms supermarket in Los Angeles amid the city’s COVID-19 lockdown.

Pushing a cart filled with groceries, the Inglourious Basterds star received a helping hand from Norman, 51, as they unloaded the goods into the back of their car.

Diane looked casually cool for the excursion, stepping out in a white Mickey Mouse-themed sweatsuit, which she teamed with a pair of black sliders.

Wearing her golden locks in tousled waves, the star packed her shopping into the care alongside her partner, who donned jeans and a grey T-shirt with a baseball cap. 

The pair’s outing comes as much of the world is in the midst of stringent lockdowns in a bid to halt the spread of coronavirus, which as of Wednesday has infected 859,929 globally and taken 42,344 lives, according to official figures.

Last month, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced the closure of all non-essential businesses and those that are the spot for masses of people including dine-in restaurants, movie theatres, gyms, bars and clubs. 

Diane’s outing comes weeks after she shared a lighthearted post with regards to the subsequent stocking up of dried goods that has occurred across much of the world. 

Sharing a photo on Instagram of the couple’s 16-month-old daughter, the actress poked fun at The Walking Dead star Norman for panic buying perishable food.

In the snapshot, the couple’s offspring – whose name has yet to be publicly released by her parents – was seen digging into a giant box of potatoes, which sat beside a similar-sized package of yams. 

‘I don’t think he understood the concept of two weeks worth of non perishable foods,’ she wrote in the accompanying tongue-in-cheek caption, which ended with the hashtag: ‘#whenyouletyourboyfriendgogroceryshopping’.

Diane and Norman have been together since 2016, after meeting during the production of their movie Sky in 2015. Their daughter was born in November 2018.

They are intensely private about their daughter and have only ever shared photos to Instagram that don’t feature her face.

She’s the first child for Diane and second for Norman, who also has a 20-year-old son named Mingus with his former partner, Danish supermodel Helena Christensen, 51.

Norman and Helena were in a romantic relationship for five years, 1998 to 2003, and they welcomed their son in October 1999.
