Paddy McGuinness works up a lather in the shower as he continues to self-isolate

He recently lamented he needed ’20 minutes escape from the kids’ as he self-isolated with wife Christine and their three children.

And Paddy McGuinness had a moment of peace in the shower as he worked up a lather and addressed fans in a new Instagram video shared on Thursday.

While in the shower delivering his ‘shower news’, the TV star, 46, also took the opportunity to thank the legions of volunteers helping the NHS and other vulnerable groups during this difficult time.

Speaking into the camera, the Top Gear start worked up a lather and washed his body as he addressed his followers.

He said: ‘How do, shower news! Thank the Lord the sun is still shining at the moment. Looking at the news as we all are, keeping an eye on things.’

Giving a shout-out to those who’ve stepped up during the COVID-19 crisis, he continued: ‘The volunteers that have come out to help the NHS and everyone else who needs assistance, is mind-blowing. That is humanity right there and it’s what keeps me going as well.’

The star also gave an update of his home life as he shared: ‘We’re doing OK with the three children at home, one of them is with me in shower news, she’s over in the bath there… say hello!’

Little Felicity, four, was then heard saying hello as she enjoyed her bath nearby.

Paddy concluded: ‘Have a great day everybody, stay safe, wash your hands! I’m washing everything!’

Paddy’s shower time comes after he told how he needed some alone time on after stopping his busy work schedule to self isolate with his family.

The presenter posted a video on Instagram as he stripped off for a garden work out on his exercise bike.

’20 minutes(ish) escape from the kids! Sun’s shining and we’ve just got some teabags! #wednesday #keepmoving #enjoyacuppa #staysafe #washyourhands #staystrong #stayhome,’ Paddy captioned the short clip.

But it didn’t look like the comedian was enjoying his spot of fresh air as he declared ‘absolute b*****ks’ in the video after working up a sweat.

Paddy and his wife Christine have both been sharing their daily workouts over the past week, as they juggle home schooling their children Leo and Penelope, six, and Felicity, four, together.

Update: The star also gave an update of his home life as he shared: 'We¿re doing OK with the three children at home, one of them is with me in shower news, she¿s over in the bath there¿ say hello!'

Paddy got very cheeky as he playfully grabbed his wife’s chest in another hilarious TikTok video on Sunday.

The comedian wished the model mum-of-three, 32, a happy Mother’s Day as he uploaded the fun clip to his Instagram page.

And on Monday, Christine shared a motivational workout video that was cheekily interrupted by the presenter.

She captioned the saucy video: ‘Good morning! Watch till the end to see what I’m dealing with when trying to workout in isolation!’ before sharing details on how she is staying fit.

Christine made a heartbreaking plea on social media on Monday evening for people to stop stockpiling food amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the 32-year-old warned that the ‘vulnerable’, including her three autistic children, could go hungry as they have a ‘restricted diet.’

Model Christine shared a picture of a love heart with the words ‘Be Kind.’

She wrote: ‘When you are emptying the shelves at your supermarket please bare in mind that you are emptying the tummy’s of our vulnerable, including my own children. [sic]

‘Many children and adults with autism have a very restricted diet, the variation of food they eat is quite often extremely limited.

‘Some people with autism and other conditions that include sensory food aversions will go hungry from your greed. ⠀

‘The supermarkets have stated that there is enough food, you DO NOT need to empty the shelves putting our vulnerable at risk of further health conditions.’⠀
