Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer ends her secret marriage to keyboardist Tay Strathairn
Mr. Robot alum Grace Gummer is ending her secret marriage to former Dawes keyboardist Tay Strathairn three years after they were first seen canoodling at the premiere of HBO documentary Spielberg.
The 33-year-old actress filed for ‘dissolution of marriage’ from the 39-year-old musician on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to The Blast.
Grace and Tay originally met, age 7 and age 13, while on the 1993 set of their parents Meryl Streep and David Strathairn’s film The River Wild.

Gummer is one of four children (Henry, 40; Mamie, 36; and Louisa, 28) the 70-year-old Oscar winner had with her husband of 41 years, sculptor Don Gummer.
Strathairn remains close with Grace’s big brother Henry, who enlisted him to play in his band for 2019 gigs at Echo Park Rising and The Love Song Bar.
The piano man is one of two sons (including Ebberly, 33) of the 71-year-old Oscar nominee and his wife of 39 years, nurse Logan Goodman.
The nepotistically-privileged duo had no children, and it’s unknown why they decided to legally separate.
