Kelsea Ballerini turns social distancing into a promo opportunity as she uses drones to deliver new album to fans
Kelsea Ballerini gave new meaning to the term album drop as she promoted her self-titled new release.
With the country music star sequestered at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kelsea decided to surprise some lucky fans with special home deliveries, via drone.
‘We’re getting a little creative with this album… drop,’ she said in a YouTube video that shows a handful of young fans receiving copies of her third studio album.

The short clip showed aerial shots of fans waiting on the ground below for their special delivery.
‘Has anyone gotten anything that has just fallen out of the sky, I’m curious,’ Ballerini asked in a teasing tone while looking straight into the camera with a big beaming smile.
Moments later, the aerial video footage shows several people receiving their album air-drops.

Each fan then proudly posed with their CDs, along with a personalized note from Ballerini.
In another personalized gesture, the singer sent Instagram messages to a few fans letting them know they ‘should be receiving a delicious delivery to your doorstep.’
Turns out they each had a pizza delivered to their homes.
‘So I just got this delivered to the door,’ one excited young woman declared as she opened the pizza box.
‘Thank you so much Kelsea and your team for sending this.’
First class touch: Each person got a CD and a personalized note from Ballerini
The album, simply titled Kelsea, officially dropped on Friday, March 20.
It comes about six months after the release of the lead single, Homecoming Queen, which she performed at the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards in November.
