The Bachelorette’s ‘stage-five’ clinger, Jamie Doran, revealed on Sunday that he’s had a tough year since his time on the dating show.

The 39-year-old shared an emotional post with fans on Instagram, saying that in the past 12 months he’s ‘been down and out,’ lost his job and even had ‘nowhere to live’ at one point.

The former firefighter said he lost everything but is now back on his feet, before telling fans to ‘hang in there’ during trying times.

The reality TV star shared online a picture of himself on The Bachelorette last year with Angie Kent, before reflecting on his life.

‘It has been a year since I went through the casting process for The Bachelorette,’ Jamie’s post began.

‘I never broadcasted it (until now), but it definitely hasn’t been my year.’

Jamie then said that he lost his job and found it hard to find a place to live.

‘I lost my long-term job in Melbourne. I had to pull out of moving in with my Bach (sic) brother and close mate, Ciarran Stott in St Kilda.’

‘I moved back to Manly, but had nowhere to live. I had good days and bad days, mainly bad. I was down and out, trying to blame everyone (but myself) for my run of bad luck and misadventure.’

Jamie then said that his life soon started to turn around when he became an ambassador for F45 training in Sydney’s Manly, and got a FIFO job in Queensland.

He told fans to ‘hang in there’ through bad times.

‘I know it’s going to sound cliché, but when one door slams shut, another one usually opens,’ he said.

He added in part of his post: ‘I’m not going to fabricate it, the past twelve months have been extremely difficult and a challenge, but I’m still here fighting and I now know firsthand how dark the world can be.’

‘Just remember, you are never alone. If anyone is suffering or going through a hard time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.’

He told 10 Daily last year that while he has no regrets about his time on the show, he admits he would have been ‘a little bit less intense’ if he had the chance to do it all again.

Jamie meanwhile is set for another stint on reality TV, and will be appearing on Bachelor in Paradise which will air later this year.

A release date for season three of the hit show is yet to be confirmed.
