Teresa Palmer and her family have been in self-isolation for six days. 

And in an emotive Instagram post shared on Sunday, the actress urged her fans to do the same to protect their loved ones.

The 34-year-old wrote at length: ‘Day six; physical distancing. Thought I’d check in. How’s everyone doing out there?

‘Also I thought I’d tell you why we are staying home. I’m staying home for you, and your parents, and your grandparents and mine. 

‘I’m staying home for those folks who can’t stay home, those who aren’t afforded the luxury. 

‘For those who are working in the medical field keeping us alive, I’m staying home for you and for those who still have to work because they don’t have a choice, we stay home for you too.’

The star went on to say that she was sending love to anyone who was struggling over the situation. 

‘For any of you feeling the pain, stress, anxiety or fear that this new climate can trigger, I’m sending you comfort and hope and love’ she concluded.

She explained in a caption: ‘Wrangling both of them at different stages of development, learning and interest was challenging BUT I had fun.
