‘Australia isn’t taking coronavirus seriously’: Tammy Hembrow lashes out at young Aussies going to bars and partying during COVID-19 pandemic

Tammy Hembrow has warned that Australia could become like Italy soon if we don’t start taking the coronavirus threat seriously.

In an Instagram video on Saturday, the influencer expressed her outrage over the young Australians who are going to bars and partying instead of practising social distancing.

Speaking from the bedroom of her Gold Coast mansion, the mother-of-two said that she’d taken her children, son Wolf, four, and daughter Saskia, three, to the beach on Friday afternoon.

On the way, Tammy said she was shocked by the number of people she’d seen hanging out in local bars.

‘Is it just me or is Australia not taking coronavirus very seriously,’ she said while lying down on her bed.

‘(On the way to the beach) there was so many bars, full of people, just crowded with people,’ she continued.

‘We’re supposed to be doing social distancing and slowing down the spread of this disease and people are just being selfish,’ she added.

‘Just because we don’t have as many cases as Italy yet, doesn’t mean it’s not a possibility, that’s what we are trying to avoid’.

The fitness influencer finished off by asking everyone to stay home during the pandemic.
