‘Miss my family in Australia so much’: A beaming Nicole Kidman shares a FaceTime call with younger sister Antonia amid the coronavirus pandemic

Nicole Kidman is used to making several trips from her home in the United States, back to her native Australia each year to see her family.

But with the global coronavirus pandemic making international travel near impossible, the Big Little Lies star has admitted she is missing her clan. 

The 52-year-old shared a photo to Instagram of herself keeping in touch with little sister Antonia, 49, on Saturday, by FaceTime.

‘My sis and I FaceTiming… miss my family in Australia so much. As I’m sure many people are missing their families right now,’ she captioned the post.

The sisters were both fresh-faced and beaming in the image, which left many fans commenting on how similar they looked.

‘Oh wow, you guys look alike,’ commented one woman.

 Another added: ‘You can certainly see the resemblance’.

Antonia and her family recently returned to Australia after almost 10 years of living in Singapore and are now located in Sydney.

It comes after the Moulin Rouge star had to miss her mother Janelle’s 80th Birthday last week.

Nicole shared a loving birthday tribute to Janelle on Instagram using a picture of them cuddled up and laughing together while sitting in a garden.

‘Happy Birthday to my darling Mumma. I love you so much. This photo is so US,’ she captioned the post.

The Oscar winner has maintained an incredibly close relationship with her mother, and Janelle often accompanies her famous daughter on outings and to red carpet events.

Nicole and husband Keith have already enrolled daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret in a Southern Highlands girls’ school ahead of their upcoming move from America.

According to the publication, Nicole ‘wants to be closer to her ailing mum’ Janelle, 80, who has a cardiac condition that ‘first raised alarm bells’ two years ago

Until now, Nicole, Keith and their daughters have been based in their Nashville home, while making several trips back to Australia to visit Janelle throughout the year.  

As of Saturday afternoon, there are 1,022 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia and seven deaths.
