According to an onlooker, Lizzie initially struggled with being able to plug the electric in for charging.
A spokesperson for Ionic Cars told MailOnline: ‘Unfortunately Tesla chargers aren’t compatible with our vehicles, but any normal charger is’.
The beautifully restored classic Mercedes built by Ionic Cars is able to go nearly 200 miles on a single charge and sprints to 60mph in under 7 seconds.
Lizzie Cundy insisted to MailOnline: ‘It’s a super charger station and the Mercedes Pagoda has the connection, but I did struggle with that charger as it didn’t fit.’

On Wednesday, Lizzie’s pal Anthea Turner, 59, brought some light relief to the coronavirus pandemic as she joked that Lizzie is struggling to deal with Boris Johnson’s social distancing instructions.
In a funny post shared to Instagram, the former Blue Peter presenter coined the term ‘Cundyvirus’ after her friend, which she has described as ‘the unthinkable fear’ of staying indoors amid the global crisis.
The host went to great lengths to amuse her followers as she shared a snap of a red carpet – highlighting Lizzie’s frequent appearances at industry events – as well as the caption: ‘Please give a thought to LIZZIE CUNDY’. [sic]

Social distancing, advised by WHO, involves maintaining at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who coughs or sneezes, as the small liquid droplets sprayed could contain the virus.
The measure also includes staying at home if you have a cough or fever even if you have not travelled and ‘cocooning’ elderly people suspected of being more vulnerable to the infection.
