She explained: ‘All of the solitary time makes you think. And just like all of you, I have been reading and all the information online seems scary.

‘But I’m also wondering how much of the information is actually accurate. Ain’t you wondering that? What is real out there and what’s not? It’s just also confusing and overwhelming.’

Sharing a tag for fans to submit their questions, Priyanka added: ‘So because of this I’m organising an Instagram Live with the help of Global Citizen with Dr Tedros, the Director General of the World Health Organisation, and Maria Van Kerkhove, who is the technical lead for Covid-19 at the WHO.

‘And we also have Hugh Evan, CEO of Global Citizens. You can ask the people who are actually on the frontline fighting the virus anything that you want to know.

‘Knowledge is power. And the more we know, the quicker we can work together to flatten the curve and fight this.’

In her final video, Priyanka told her followers: ‘There are so many other things to stock up on right now. Please look out for each other and the people who are most at risk for #Covid19 (sic).’
