The team underwent testing on Sunday night as a precaution after Richard Wilkins tested positive for COVID-19. The Weekend Today star had appeared on their show as a guest last Thursday.

While it’s impossible to know with 100 per cent certainty where Richard caught the virus from, he did briefly meet singer Rita Wilson backstage at her Sydney Opera House concert on March 7.

Rita and her husband, Tom Hanks, tested positive for coronavirus last Thursday. As soon as the couple announced their diagnosis, Richard went into self-isolation.

As of Thursday afternoon, there are 636 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia, and six deaths.
