Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and producer fiance Randall Emmett postpone their wedding… after the reality persona said God WOULDN’T give her coronavirus

Vanderpump Rules’ Lala Kent and fiance Randall Emmett have decided to postpone their wedding.

‘We have decided to move the date of our wedding to July given the unfortunate circumstances of what is going on,’ the couple told People in a statement on Wednesday.

Their announcement comes just days after reality persona Lala mocked the threat of the ongoing pandemic, telling Instagram followers: ‘I don’t feel that God would give me coronavirus before I get married.’

Lala and Randall had been planning on an April 18 wedding, but due to ever-tightening travel restrictions the couple realized they would have to postpone.

After announcing that they were moving the ceremony to July, they went on to say: ‘We are obviously saddened by this but for the ultimate safety of our families and guests, we have made the decision to wait and see how everything progresses. Safety will always be our number one priority.’

Lala was striking a significantly different tone from last Thursday, when she took to Instagram to mock the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

‘So I may get in trouble for this, but it’s OK: I just don’t feel that God would give me coronavirus before I get married – I just don’t see that happening to me,’ the reality star/actress said.

Kent said that even if she did contract the virus, it would be a boon to her career from the attention she would let from it, less than a day after Hollywood stalwarts Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were diagnosed with the disease in Australia.

‘Let’s just say I do get it before my wedding; I feel that means God is like, “B***h you need a little publicity” – that’s the only way I would get it, I feel,’ she said.

She asked a pal off-camera: ‘Do you think people are gonna slam me for what I said?’

In an earlier clip, Kent took a snarky tone as she downplayed the ongoing coverage of the international outbreak.

‘So I don’t want to scare you guys but I’ve been watching the news, and apparently there’s this really bad illness going around – it’s called coronavirus,’ she said. ‘Corona, corona, corona, corona, corona – I feel like a corona now!’

But she seemed to somewhat pivot her perspective by Sunday, sharing a more sober caption which read: ‘About to quarantine my ass off.

‘This whole situation has been way too heavy. I’ll catch y’all when this is over. Until then, be safe, stay healthy, and try not to kill each other over toilet paper’
