Tina Arena has stuck firm to her sense of humour amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, the 52-year-old singer happily laughed at a meme in which she features as ‘Quaran-Tina Arena!’

In the meme, Tina is shown in quarantine, dressed in a face mask and wearing a yellow glove, her hand in a power symbol.

As of Tuesday there were 452 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia, with the majority of those in New South Wales (210) and Victoria (94).

There has been an increase of more than 70 new confirmed cases in the past day.

The premier of Queensland – where there are 78 confirmed cases – said the virus may be the ‘toughest test in our lifetime’.

‘From this point on, the road gets harder before it gets easier,’ Annastacia Palaszcuk said.

In recent days the federal and state governments have announced increasingly strict measures, including a 14-day self-quarantine period for those returning to Australia – from any overseas country.

Despite the measures, Australia’s deputy chief medical officer warned that anywhere up to 60 per cent of the population could catch the disease.
