Tamara Ecclestone’s daughter Sophia has to CANCEL sixth birthday celebrations amid COVID-19 crisis

Tamara Ecclestone’s daughter’s sixth birthday party has fallen victim to the current COVID-19 crisis.

After Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the UK to avoid public gatherings this week, the heiress had to cancel her daughter Sophia’s celebrations.

Taking to Instagram, Tamara, 35, shared a snap of Sophia, dressed up for the special day all the same.

She captioned it: ‘This is 6. No party but so much love and laughter.’

Sophia still managed to smile in the sweet snap, as she posed in a Peppermint costume.

This will have been a particular disappointment as just weeks ago Sophia’s cousin Lavinia was thrown a very lavish LOL themed birthday party to mark turning seven.

Earlier in the month, Tamara’s sister Petra, 31, hosted the shin-dig, and Tamara posted a series of snaps to Instagram showcasing Sophia’s own excitement for her cousin’s do. 

Dressed in costume, and resembling the brightly coloured LOL doll, Sophia posed for a series of snaps in front of a elaborate floral arrangement and decorative pink bathtub. 

Donning multicoloured hair and pink fashionable frames, Sophia channeled her best  Bon Bon as she smiled gleefully before jumping in beside her mum.

On one of the photos, Tamara captioned the photo:  ‘Ready to celebrate her cousin LOL style. My real life doll,’ followed by a heart-eye emoji. 

Meanwhile, the Formula 1 heiress looked effortlessly chic wearing a complete beige ensemble as she prepared for an afternoon of family fun.  

Upon arriving at the birthday bash, Tamara shared a series of snapshots from the birthday party, which displayed an edible pancake art station for the kids as well as a giant LOL themed pinata.  

Sophia went to town on beating it with a stick, in hope to bust open the cardboard vessel, but proving too much for the real life doll, she threw the stick aside and ripped it open with her hands.   

Meanwhile, Petra took to Instagram to share a snap with her niece Sophia, whose neon painted eyebrows replaced her costume pink frames. 

Petra also offered a glimpse of the elaborate affair as she documented the event in a series of snaps posted to her Instagram stories. 

In one shot, the children were getting their nails painted at their very own nail station, complete with a selection of colour wheels displaying the hues on offer. 

The birthday girl was also treated to an extravagant three-tier birthday cake which was decorated with LOL doll figurines and colours consistent with the theme. 

In the spirit of extravagant celebrations, Tamara recently threw Petra a lavish baby shower as she prepares for the arrival of her baby. 

She’s set to welcome her first child with fiancé Sam Palmer, making her a mother of four.

Tamara took to Instagram to share a series of snapshots from the baby shower, which displayed the pink colour scheme and the makings of a well-planned soiree. 

In one shot, an elegant table setting showed that guests dined at a pink illuminated candlelit table, which included gold-tinged menus. 

Included on the menu were a choice of whole Dover sole or chicken Milanese, while the sweets selection was billed as ‘sugar and spice and all things nice’.

Guests were also treated to a healthy supply of champagne as they toasted the baby’s imminent arrival.

As well as dining, guests were also given the opportunity to personalise their own pairs of Converse shoes at a painting station – an activity which adorable little Sophia appeared to lap up.

Meanwhile, the woman of the hour stepped out in style for the festivities, donning a floral pink dress with eye-catching silver boots, while a pair of Minnie Mouse ears rested atop her golden curly locks.
