She has seen many strange and unusual things over her 10 years of hosting This Morning.

But, Holly Willoughby, 39, was HORRIFIED as a beautician demonstrated her gruesome microblading technique on This Morning, cutting into a model’s eyebrows with a handheld blade, and making them bleed.

Both Holly and Phillip Schofield, 57, were visibly shocked, not realising that skin was cut during the cosmetic procedure, while viewers took to social media to slam the show over lack of precautions taken during the segment, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The model had undergone her first microblading session and was having her top up performed live on This Morning.   

Microblading is a technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. 

It is used to create the illusion of fuller brows, and has recently become a popular alternative to cosmetic tattooing. 

Phillip and Holly were aghast as the model began to bleed as the beautician sliced into the skin behind her eyebrows, with Holly asking: ‘[Vomit noise] so you’re just scratching it in?’

‘Yes you do bleed a bit, but Nikki [the model] can’t feel anything’ insisted the beautician, while Holly and Phil looked somewhat disbelieving.

‘I didn’t think it was gonna bleed!’ admitted Phil, while Holly added: ‘I mean you are literally cu… cutting!’ 

Viewers took to social media, uneasy with what they’d seen and infuriated at the lack of social distancing or precautionary hygiene measures demonstrated during the procedure.

‘@thismorning absolute irresponsibility on show today. Microblading and no one wearing masks even as a respect or precaution. Covering your chin doesn’t count. Close contact. Pathetic example,’ fumed one person on Twitter.

‘And This Morning currently microblading someone’s face zero protection. All huddled. C**ks!’ slammed another.

Someone else tweeted: ‘Woman doing the microblading on #ThisMorning doesnt even know how to wear a mask. her nose wasn’t covered for half the procedure !!!’

One disgusted viewer wrote: ‘@thismorning this is not how you do #microblading I’m a Microblading artist & this was poorly executed the hygiene alone was awful with her hair hanging in the clients face, plus you don’t have that amount of blood! Her pressure was 2 hard for the clients skin.’
