Chris Hughes slams troll for messaging him from a fake account pretending to be his girlfriend Jesy Nelson

Chris Hughes has hit out at a troll who messaged him on Twitter pretending to be his girlfriend.

The Love Island star, 27, was left puzzled when he received a direct social media message from an account claiming to be his partner Jesy Nelson.

But the TV personality instantly saw through the ploy, stunned that someone would think they would be able to trick him into thinking he was talking to the Little Mix star.

Trolled: Chris Hughes was left puzzled when he received a direct social media message from an account claiming to be his partner Jesy Nelson.

The account used his girlfriend’s name, but contained a series of random numbers in the username which made it look rather suspicious.

Chris shared the message with his 500,000 followers, reading simply: ‘Morning babe’. He then received a follow up text almost precisely 10 hours later saying ‘babe come on and chat with me’.

Sarcastically captioning the post, the star wrote: ‘Okay this is odd. Imagine believing I might fall for this being my actual girlfriend.

‘”Oh yeah hi babe, sorry expected you to text me not message me on Twitter, this is different but how you doing, you okay?”‘

The account, @JesyNel43546316, has since appeared to have been deleted.

Chris and singer Jesy have been dating since February 2019.

Since then the pair have been practically inseparable, with Chris joining Little Mix on their LM5 tour.

And a sneak peak of this was revealed to fans on Thursday when the star made a cameo in the music video for fan favourite track, Wassabi.

The reality star was secretly filmed by his girlfriend in the video singing along to the track while riding a private jet.
