Shania Twain reveals Brad Pitt DOES impress her despite that iconic line in her hit song

‘I hope he takes it with a sense of humour!’ Shania Twain reveals that Brad Pitt DOES ‘impress her much’ despite the iconic lyrics from her hit song claiming otherwise

Shania Twain once claimed that Brad Pitt doesn’t impress her, in the lyrics from her 1997 hit, That Don’t Impress Me Much.

The 54-year-old sang at the time, ‘Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt, that don’t impress me much!’

However, the singer told The Daily Telegraph’s Stellar magazine on Saturday that the 56-year-old actor does, in fact, impress her.

‘I must say I’m very impressed by Brad’s wonderful career,’ the American star told the publication.

Shania said Brad’s recent Oscar win, for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, has left her ‘proud’ of the star.

‘He’s been getting some great accolades recently, so I’m very proud of Brad. I hope he takes it with the sense of humour that was intended!’

The singer goes on to say that she is amazed that the lyric, and the song, still resonates with people.

‘I like to write with a sense of humour. I didn’t realise it would go this far or be memorable. I’m thrilled that reference has lasted the test of time,’ she said.

Shania recently said she has stopped trying to ‘battle’ against ageing.

She added: 'I like to write with a sense of humour. I didn't realise it would go this far or be memorable. I'm thrilled that reference has lasted the test of time'

‘For me personally, I’m sure it’s very different for everybody, but I just started with time. Stepping out of battles that I couldn’t win.

‘I mean, you know, ageing is a battle you can’t win,’ she said during an appearance on the LadyGang podcast.

Shania added: ‘That battle and the focus and energy it takes, is taking up too much space! In my life, my emotional state, my mental state. I’ve got songs to write. I’m not gonna sit around’.
