Less than two weeks ago, Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron’s mom Andrea tragically died of a brain aneurysm at the age of 55.
The 27-year-old shared a heart-wrenching video of his family saying their final goodbyes to his mother as her hospital bed was wheeled into the operating room to ‘give her final gift here on this earth’ by donating her organs.
Cameron expressed his deep gratitude for Donate Life America and explained that his mother’s ability to give life to others through organ donation helped his family get through this tragedy, in an Instagram post Friday.

In the video, the Cameron family follows doctors and nurses as they led Andrea’s hospital bed on a walk through the hospital to the operating room.

‘We just went through one of the most difficult times of our lives in the Cameron family. We lost our rock, our nucleus, and the one who gave us a home,’ Cameron continued on social media.
‘Our mother was the ultimate servant. She gave us her all until she had nothing more she could give. So we thought. Our mother gave the ultimate gift when she passed away. She was able to give more life. She was able to donate her liver and give someone another opportunity.’
He went on to ask for positivity during this trying time and said that he struggled with whether or not to share this incredibly intimate moment with the world.

‘She was super supportive,’ Tyler told the newspaper of Andrea. ‘But what was so amazing … she was supportive for [The Bachelorette 15 Hannah Brown] and everyone else who was a part of that show but she was also supportive to the random fans.’
On March 2, Tyler took to his Instagram to share a heartbreaking photograph of himself and his two brothers holding their mother’s red manicured hand.
In the post’s caption he wrote: ‘Today heaven gained an angel. We will love and miss our mother dearly. She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on.’
Last Friday, the Cameron family announced that they would be establishing a charity in honor of Andrea. Started by Tyler’s brother Austin, the fundraising page says: ‘In the wake of this tragic event, we feel compelled to honor our mother.’
