‘We’ve been broody for 10 years!’ Strictly couple Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec discuss their future baby plans
They’ve been an item both on and off the dance floor for years.
And Strictly couple Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec revealed on Friday’s Lorraine that they have been broody for ten years.
The dancing duo, aged 36 and 30, appeared on the ITV chat show to talk about their new dance show Remembering The Oscars following the success of their 2019 tour Remembering The Movies.

Yet chat soon turned to Janette and Aljaž’s personal life as host Lorraine Kelly grilled them about their future baby plans.
The trio were talking about Gorka Márquez and Gemma Atkinson’s daughter Mia, eight months, with the dancing duo gushing that they were the ‘proudest aunty and uncle’.
To which Lorraine asked: ‘Has it made you a tiny bit broody? Or is the time not right yet?’ with Janette agreeing with the latter.
Aljaž added: ‘I think we’ve been broody for ten years now, we couldn’t be anymore broody!’

To which Lorraine concluded: ‘When the time’s right…,’ with the duo agreeing and Aljaž teasing: ‘Yeah, exactly, we all have our own times but we’ll see, we’ll see…’
The couple went on to talk about their return to Strictly Come Dancing in September after eight years on the show.
Aljaž said: ‘I mean we can’t believe it that this will be our eighth season coming back, we still see ourselves as newbies there still.
‘It changes your life every single year, the platform we get to create on, the people we get to meet, it’s the most humbling opportunity.’

Although it will be a sad start to Strictly 2020 after fellow professional Kevin Clifton announced he was quitting after being a regular since 2013.
Talking about Kevin’s exit, Aljaž said: ‘We joined in the same year in 2013 and we’ve been friends from before Strictly and all we wish him is the best for the future. He is incredibly talented so I’m sure he’ll enjoy every success.’
Janette and Aljaž tied the knot in 2017 with three wedding celebrations in London, Florida and Slovenia.

Talking about their nuptials with HELLO! in a past interview, Aljaž said: ‘We got married three times, so we had two renewals of the vows done within a week.’
To which Janette told the magazine: ‘Yes, it was the perfect wedding. Weddings, I guess you could say.’
