Brooke Shields posts an adorable photo of herself as a little girl for flashback Friday the 13th

Brooke Shields posts a throwback photo of herself as a little girl with blonde hair on flashback Friday the 13th: ‘Clearly not superstitious!’

Friday is Friday the 13th, and this actress marked the occasion with a ‘flashback Friday’ photo and a message related to the traditionally superstitious day.

Brooke Shields took to Instagram with a nostalgic photograph of herself as a little girl with blonde ringlets half up in a ponytail as she wore a white dress.

The Suddenly Susan actress, now 54, captioned the photo, ‘Clearly not superstitious!’ along with the hashtag #fbf, denoting the online meme trend ‘Flashback Friday’ (which is similar to ‘Throwback Thursday’).

Sweet: Brooke Shields took to Instagram Friday morning with an adorably nostalgic photo of herself as a little girl, blond ringlets half up in a ponytail, clothed in a cute white dress

She had on socks with dark loafers as well.

In the snap, Shields has one hand on her hip and holds a white umbrella open with the other — even though she stands indoors.

It was a cheeky reference to the superstition that opening up an umbrella inside can bring bad luck, akin to the notion that bad things happen on Friday the 13th.

This, not to mention the sequel-spawning slasher film franchise of same name featuring hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees.

The photo calls to mind the era of Brooke as a precocious child star in the late Seventies and early Eighties, when she initially started out as a child model before gaining critical acclaim at age 12 for her lead role in Louis Malle’s 1978 film Pretty Baby.

She followed that up with two more attention-getting film roles, all before the age of 18, in 1980’s The Blue Lagoon and Franco Zeffirelli’s romantic drama Endless Love one year later.

As a teen model, Brooke also gained immense notoriety for her ‘No one gets between me and my Calvins’ ad for Calvin Klein jeans.

Much more recently, the actress has enjoyed consistent appearances primarily on television, from recurring roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Middle and Jane The Virgin.

And that is after her Golden Globe-nominated turn as frazzled magazine writer Susan on the 4-season-long sitcom Suddenly Susan.

The day before Brooke’s Flashback Friday post, the ageless and athletic star posted a selfie and video from her day’s workout, in which she shared her post-workout thoughts about not ‘dimming my light!’
