Jonah Hill shows off some impressive surf skills as he catches some waves in Santa Monica… after previously admitting he was ‘too scared’ to try out the water sport

Jonah Hill hit the ocean on Wednesday to catch some waves, as he enjoyed some alone time with his surf board.

The bearded actor donned a black wet suit and was seen hauling his board on top of his head as he walked down the beach and to the sea.

The Knocked Up star, 36, was then seen navigating the waves in Santa Monica, Los Angeles.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Jonah – who is engaged to fiancee of six months Gianna Santos – previously said he always had a dream to surf but was too scared to give it a go.

That changed last August when he decided to conquer his fear and then talk about it in an Instagram post.

‘Been terrified to surf my whole life. Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine,’ the actor captioned a picture of himself with a friendly instructor.

‘Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was it so fun and challenging but more so I’m like “damn, at 35 you can start doing s**t you’ve always wanted to do.”‘

He took to Instagram just last week to post a video of himself riding a wave.

The star proudly captioned this: 7 months of [surfing emoji]. Anything is possible.’

Jonah, an LA native, has been focusing on relaxing activities rather than work currently.

His IMDb page does not reveal any new acting or feature directing credits since last year’s The Beach Bum or 2018’s Mid90s.

He and his wife-to-be were first spotted together in August 2018 while taking a walk together in New York City.
