Dani Dyer is devastated when she goes to the supermarket to ‘panic buy’ toilet roll and pasta but discovers the shelves are EMPTY

Dani Dyer took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to reveal she had been to the supermarket to ‘panic buy’ toilet roll and pasta amid the coronavirus outbreak. 

But she was devastated to discover that the shelves were empty, with such a few packs of loo roll remaining after shoppers prepared for potential self-isolation. 

The 24-year-old had taken to social media just before heading inside and asked for advice from the comfort of her car.

Dani had said: ‘Anyone else panic buying? Is there anything I need to get? I am scared to be honest. 2020, what a year!

‘I am going to stock up on toilet rolls, water and pasta. I’m going to follow the crowd.’ 

But when she went inside the store, she couldn’t believe her eyes, sharing a picture of the empty pasta shelves and few remaining toilet rolls.

It’s fair to say that while some items have been in short demand, but most people are finding they are able to buy what they need eventually. 

Shops are regularly replenishing their shelves and not every shop has run out of pasta and loo rolls – people are expected to just buy what they need. 

The BBC reported on Tuesday: ‘The government is relaxing restrictions on delivery hours for shops to make sure shops remain stocked with basic items amid stockpiling concerns.

‘The environment department, Defra said it would work with local councils to increase the frequency of deliveries.

‘Environment Secretary George Eustice said by allowing night-time deliveries, stock would be able to move more quickly from warehouses to shelves. Deliveries are currently restricted overnight to avoid disturbing locals.’

Meanwhile, Dani’s nan took her out for a beer on Tuesday, a day after she split from boyfriend Sammy Kimmence after almost a year of dating.

The Love Island 2018 winner ended her romance of 10 months amid claims his court case put ‘a strain on their relationship’ – and was clearly in need of some family time the next day. 

Last month, Sammy appeared in court accused of scamming two elderly men out of £34,000 by posing as a financial investor. 

The Essex beauty has unfollowed her ex on social media and untagged him from photos on her Instagram account. 

A source told MailOnline: ‘Dani has called time on things. Sam’s impending court case put a lot of strain on their relationship.
